The Pinus genus is represented by woody plants of great economic importance. There are reports that some mycorrhizal fungi associated with this plant produce chemical compounds with biological activities. The aim of this study was to evaluate the association between fungal genera found in Pinus, biological activities detected and isolated substances. In this way, a systematic review of mycorrhizal fungi found in Pinus was carried out. The articles were selected from the Lilacs, Scielo, Pubmed, Scopus, Science direct and Web of Science databases, using the Endnote® program for data storage. The terms mycorrhizal fungi and biological activity and Pinus, mycorrhizal fungi and chemical components and Pinus were used as keywords. 2322 articles were found, of these, 1478 had the abstracts evaluated, and 13 were selected to be read in their entirety, leaving 7 for data analysis. In the evaluated articles, 23 genera of mycorrhizal fungi were found to be present in Pinus species. The most reported activity was antioxidant and tocopherol was the most prevalent isolated substance. This review can contribute to research in humanities, agriculture and veterinary sciences due to the scarcity of research on this topic.
