Two-dimensional (2D) materials, for example, molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) exhibit antibacterial potential against various microorganisms and decent degradation responses against different dyes. As MoS2 is highly conductive, possesses high charge mobility and large surface area, so it can provide better response in antibacterial activity, biomedical application and for degrading dyes without toxic effects on the environment.
