Dapagliflozin is a medication of the gliflozin class, used to treat type 2 diabetes. It was produced by Bristol-Myers Squibb in organization with AstraZeneca. Dapagliflozin is a sodium-glucose cotransporter 2(SGLT2) inhibitor. It works by diminishing the measure of sugar the body assimilates and expanding the measure of sugar that leaves the body. Dapagliflozin is utilized alongside diet and work out, and now and again with different drugs, to lower glucose levels in patients with type 2 diabetes (condition in which glucose is too high in light of the fact that the body does not create or utilize insulin ordinarily).
